This training is intended to provide you with valuable information regarding the importance of Family Engagement.

  • Help listeners understand the value of partnering with families at all levels

  • Provide a working definition of “Family”, to achieve success.  To gain  “buy in” and benefit form services, family members  must be invited to participate as partners in practice as well as contribute their expertise in program and policy  development.  Our intention for family participation should be “Nothing about us, without us”.

  • Provide an understanding of family-driven care and how this will impact successful outcomes for children with behavioral challenges and their families,

  • And finally, in knowing some of the community resources available to successfully assist families in meeting the needs of their children.
